Meet Lindsay, the brains behind Country Meets Creative.

What is your most favourite location in Scotland?

I have a real love affair with the West Coast and Islands of Scotland, Skye in particular. We spent lots of time there in my childhood and it’s still a favourite haunt nowadays. Really anywhere with wow factor backdrops, tranquility and where the locals like the craic, I’m a girl who always picks country over cities and walking boots over heels!

What inspires you the most?

I take my inspiration from the landscape around us, I have been lucky enough to travel throughout the world and I can honestly say there is nowhere like home!  For photo shoots and product launches I am more likely to be seen wading through the heather or barley field to capture some amazing images or video in the landscape around us than on a studio white backdrop.

Who inspires you?

I am constantly inspired by other fabulous women in business; women I am proud to call clients, mentors and foremost friends. Women who are consistently breaking boundaries, setting new trends, promoting personal development and inspiring others. There is a new generation of women who are not afraid to take risks and carve out their own success.

Best spot in Speyside?

I am so lucky to have been introduced to so many hidden gems through my photography work, we really do live in one of the most scenic parts of the world. However, Lochindorb is one of my favourites for the sheer fact it is such a hidden gem; secluded off the beaten track, you will hardly ever meet another soul and it combines such spectacular scenery of the Loch in the foreground with the stunning backdrop of the Cairngorms.

Best Country Meets Creative moment to date?

There are so many fabulous moments since the concept came together, from Pery joining the team to castle photo shoots, fabulous product launches and the laughter shared along the way.  However, the most rewarding aspect for me is just seeing the results for our clients, this is what it is all about!

Name one thing you would love to do?

I would love to be able to combine my love of travel with the business, so here’s an unashamed shout out! Whether you are launching a new product on an idyllic Scottish Island or you are looking to capture a new International market get in touch…

Have passport… will travel!

What are you most looking forward to on the Country Meets Creative journey?

I would have to say it’s the companies we hope to work with and the travel and adventure opportunities these hold. We are already plotting some amazing opportunities and photo shoots which include being at the top of mountains in winter, a potential trip to Ireland and lots more.  Of course I can’t lie, as a gin lover I would also have to say sampling all the great new gin’s from Avva and Berry Good, a pretty good incentive for the future too!

What is your favourite social media platform?

I you had asked me 6 months ago I would have definitely said Facebook and whilst I still love it, Instagram is slowly taking over my social media feed and focus. I think it’s because I’m a really visual person and I also love instastories, such a great way to engage people with very little effort. I’m watching with interest how Instagram and Facebook develop now they are both under the same ownership, it looks like lots of features will be seen across both platforms which is an exciting development.
